About Me

I’m originally from Birmingham, spent 12 years living and working in London and have recently moved to Glasgow (returning regularly to London for work purposes). I attended Central School of Speech and Drama and gained an MA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media. After my studies I worked, for a short time, as a content editor for online dating websites, before moving into television.

For a long time I wrote  purely for my own enjoyment, dabbling in the odd competition here and there, with varying degrees of success (longlisted for the Verity Bargate Award, shortlisted for BBC Finish This Sitcom) but have recently decided that it is time to share more of my work, both online and in the wider public arena.

In June 2019, I left my job at the BBC, where I worked in writer development, in order to focus full time on my own writing while working freelance in the industry on a part-time basis. Since then I completed the NFTS Scotland short-course Writing the TV Pilot, with Peter Ansorge, in July and in August became a finalist in the Triforce /  Amazon Studios WriterSlam (winner TBC).

Much of the expressionism found on this site is a coping mechanism; a means of survival in this life.

When I’m not working or writing, I can be found playing the tuba with a variety of interesting bands.
